Quiet Company Farm - riding lessons, indoor arena

Lessons are available from a CHA certified riding instructor (Kelly) at Quiet Company Farm. The lesson program consists of beginner to advanced riders ages 6 and up (including adults). The program focuses on safety and good horsemanship. All students learn how to properly work with the horses on the ground, tack up and groom. Riders begin in half-hour private lessons, and once they have sufficient control can move on to a semi-private or group lesson if they would rather. All lessons are tailored to meet the rider’s goals, whether they be simply riding for pleasure or to be ready for the show ring.

The lessons are highly personalized and have no more than 3 students per lesson in order for the students to receive a lot of one on one attention. Kelly teaches in a safe, patient and fun manner, and the school horses are kind and wonderful to learn on.

Lessons are sold in monthly sessions, and payment is due at the first lesson each month. A $15 fee is charged if payment is late.
Private, semi-private and group lessons are available.
Single lessons are available for riders who can’t commit to a weekly lesson due to a busy schedule.
Lessons are available to clients at their own homes on their own horses (there is an extra charge to cover gas/time that depends on distance traveled).
Clients are welcome to trailer in their own horses for lessons.
Only ONE makeup lesson is available per month, and the lesson must be cancelled the day before in order for this to be valid.
Discounts are available for students who ride more than once a week.

All students MUST wear a proper, approved riding helmet. While QCF does have some helmets available for riders starting out, it is recommended that regular riders purchase their own *approved* helmet after the first few lessons.
Riders must wear low heeled footwear with a defined heel- 1/2” to
1 1/2”. Paddock boots, rubber riding boots, or leather riding boots are all fine. For winter it is recommended to buy winter riding boots or winter paddock boots.
If the rider does not yet own breeches, jeans or snug fitting pants with some stretch will do.
Half chaps are highly recommended if you have paddock boots to help protect your legs from rubs.
For winter riding, winter coats, long johns, head bands for under helmets, and gloves are necessary. Dress WARM!!
