Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday! There will be a Saddle Club meeting on Saturday, January 8th from 9-12. Halley and Hannah will be doing their presentations.
BIG congrats to Tara Stewart on her purchase of Panzer! He couldn't have asked for a better "mom". Tara has known the big boy for the past few years here at QCF. She has wanted a horse of her own her whole life so this is truly a dream come true for her! Panzer will still be used in the riding program part time so don't worry all you Pan-fans- you will still be able to ride him in your lessons.
In other big news.... Oliver Sudden was sold to Siobhan Belsher as a Christmas present from her parents. I don't think that there could be any better gift than a pony! Here is the link to her opening up a picture of the two of them that said on it "Oliver Sudden and his owner" at the bottom on Christmas morning:

As you can see by Siobhan's reaction, he is a pretty special little guy to her! Siobhan has ridden Ollie in many lessons over the past year as well as part-leased him. Ollie won't be used in the lesson program anymore with other riders but he will continue living here at QCF so we will all still get to see him. Congratulations Siobhan!!
The QCF coats arrived before Christmas and they turned out beautifully! Here is a pic that Hannah had of the coat so you can see what the front looks like:

Lessons will be back in full swing this week. The horses are all together now in the front field, so you will get to see them as you come into the farm. They are more than ready to be back in work... they were somewhat confused by the break and would often come to the gate around lesson time wondering if they would be coming in for some attention, treats and a ride. They will be happy to see you all again! They did get to have lots of carrot hunts, LOTS of yummy haylage, naps and socializing... all of which they loved, but I really do think they enjoy having a job too!
See you all soon! :)

Saddle club on Saturday was a lot of fun! We have a few new members and it was nice to see everyone together. Anna and Taylor did a great job presenting and all the minis were on their best behaviour. Everyone got to take a turn driving in the cart pulled by Columbus, which was super! We had excellent weather and a nice nature walk on the trail when we went to visit Festus, Ranger and Mickey. Thank-you Stan for letting us visit!
QCF jackets are going to officially be ordered by Monday, November 22nd. Your jacket money must be in by then!

Let me know you are coming by sending an email or signing your name on the sign up sheet in the barn. It is free of charge to come, but if you commit to being part of the saddle club, you need to be sure to let us know if you can't make it!
See you on Saturday!!

Jackets are now going to be ordered on November 19th in order to allow everyone to get their money in on time.
I have added some more amazing testimonials to the page. As I have put each and every one of them up, some made me smile, some made me laugh, some made me cry; they are all absolutely wonderful and I just feel so lucky to have had so many great people come through here. You have all made QCF what it is today. I really have the best students and boarders that anyone could ever ask for.

Wow, it is hard to believe it is already November! We have two saddle club days planned for November. One is on November 13th and the other is November 27th.
On November 13th Anna Sirois-LeCain and Taylor Matheson will be bringing their mini horses for a special guest day! We will learn all about minis, parts of the harness, and how to harness, ground drive and drive. The girls will also demonstrate jumping their minis! We are hoping to also go visit the cutest mini donkey in the world, Festus! He is our neighbor's donkey, so we will go up as long as the weather is ok. He is only 6 months old. Stan and Mary also have two minis, Ranger and Mickey that will love a visit!
FESTUS:

On November 27th, Halley Campbell and Hannah Myers will be talking about parts of the horse and breeds. There is also going to be an exciting breed scavenger hunt!!
